Joint Industry Board

The JIB is the collective term for the partnership between the ECA and Unite as distinct from the administrative organisation which was created to carry out their joint decisions.

The Electrical Contracting Industry comprises a great number of private enterprise firms, ranging from firms employing one man to firms employing more than a thousand. It employs a large number of skilled men-time served, qualified electricians comprise 90% of its labour force.

In this instance, I (Derek Organ) am displaying the JIB logo as I have served a full J.I.B apprenticeship giving me the grading of J.I.B Approved Electrician. I work as a Sole Trader and do not employ any apprentices. I carry out all my work/contracts personally.
